Special Interest Groups

MAPC special interest groups are established by MAPC members who share a common interest. Special interest groups allow members to focus on a specific topic where we can work together on professional growth, share ideas and strengthen our knowledge through interaction with colleagues. Groups vary in size, structure and activity level, and each group is open to all MAPC members interested.

For more information about joining or creating a special interest group, please contact Peggy Braam at mapcgroup@gmail.com.

Current special interest groups include the following:

MAPC Marketing Group – facilitated by Ruth Ellen Saul, LCSW
This group consists of therapists who want to focus on improving their marketing skills. Each therapist works towards their own customized goals. Therapists are supported by the rest of the group through information and resource exchange, group support, and accountability. Do you have an elevator speech? Who is your ideal client? Have you ever had several therapists together give you helpful feedback about your website? That’s the kind of wonderful stuff we do for one another in the Marketing Group.
